Hospice of Michigan Creates Art for the Grieving Heart

Remembering loved ones through creative expressions of grief

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (March. 6, 2019) – Loss is anything but easy. To aid the healing process, Hospice of Michigan is hosting Art for the Grieving Heart from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 at the Hospice of Michigan office located at 989 Spaulding SE, Ada 4930.

Art for the Grieving Heart is one of Hospice of Michigan’s free grief support services that offer a supportive environment for those struggling with the loss of a loved one. The event, which will be facilitated by vigil volunteer Sandra Bovee-Bernard, provides a creative outlet for individuals to express their grief through collages filled with favorite memories.

Attendees are instructed to bring copies of photographs, cards or any other memories they would like to include in their collage. No art experience is needed. Hospice of Michigan will provide supplies to use.

Art for the Grieving Heart is open to those in the community who would like to remember a lost loved one. To register, contact Sue Glover at 616-356-5255 or at sglover@hom.org.
